Capon, Mark

Capon, Mark, guitar: b. New York City, 29 May 1958. His father was Abe Capon (6/26/1921-10/8/2001) and his mother, Dorothea Capon was born on 6/19/29. His sister, Linda Capon (1/30/54), is a pianist.

He had private teachers as a child and through teenage years. He took master classes at the Jazz Cultural Theatre taught by pianist Barry Harris (early
1980s) and jazz workshops at the Henry Street Settlement taught by saxophonist Bill Saxton (early 1980's), private lessons with guitarist Tal Farlow (1988) via jazz study grant from the National Endowment For The Arts.
