Charette, Brian

Charette, Brian, organ and piano; b. Meridien, CT, 24 November 1972. His parents are Cathy Charette (b. April 14,1948), an English teach and pianist, and Richard Charette (b. Feb 11, 1949), a Calculus teacher.

Brian began his training in classical piano at age five. He continued with these studies until high school where he began playing guitar and experimenting with jazz. After high school, Brian studied Classical piano at the Hartt School of Music and the University of Connecticut while continuing to play jazz. After his graduation from college, Mr. Charette toured Europe for six months with jazz and rock acts. After these tours, Brian moved to New York City where he currently lives and works as a producer, engineer, and musician. Mr. Charette has performed with many noted artists such as Chaka Khan, Joni Mitchell, Lou Donaldson, and Cindy Lauper. He has also recently appeared with The Max Weinberg Seven On Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
