Ferrero, Ruben

Ferrero, Ruben, pianist, composer, arranger, ethnomusicologist, educator; For the last 20 years, he's run a private school of music.

He began studying classical music classic with master teacher: Pedro Saenz -composer-pianis-clave-director of UCA-Director Artist of Teatro Colon; Antonio de Raco- classical pianist internacional; Lita Spena - teacher of harmony, contrapunto, orchestration and teacher of Piazzolla, Ginastera, Waldo de los Rios. Later, he began studying jazz (Bill Evans Book). He has a jazz trio with Mono Hurtado on Bass and Luis de la Torre on drums.

He studies cultures and music. His specialty is ethnic jazz folk. He plays jazz and classical and arranges classical pieces for different groups. He composed the music for the beginning to the International Cine Festival Nro 18 in Mar del Plata, Argentina in March 2003.

He has 16 CD's for different music: etnic, jazz, folk, fusion, etc. Last year, he prepared a Tribute to Cecil Taylor in a festival of jazz in Argentine, and recording at live with many musicians. He has many friends who are artists and poets, and many musicians as well. His latest project is Ruben Ferrero & Cabezas Abiertas (translation: Ruben Ferrero and Open Head).
