Fumo, John

Fumo, John, trumpet; b. Kenosha, WI, 5 June 1957. He has 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is a Professor of Jazz Trumpet at Cal Arts, in LA, CA. He maintains an active performing, recording, and touring schedule in addition to his CalArts teaching. He performs together with his wife, singer Kelly Fumo, at LA nightspots.

He has played, recorded, and toured with a long list of major artists including Neil Young, Crosby Stills & Nash, James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Celine Dion, Charlie Haden, Vinny Golia, Mel Torme, Al Jarreau, Whitney Houston, Flora Purim, Airto, kdlang, Brian Setzer, Tito Puente, Johnny Mathis, Phoebe Snow, Lou Rawls, Brian McKnight, Ricky Martin, John Tesh, Bon Jovi, Tower of Power, and many others.

He has also performed on a dozen film scores.
