Maddox, David (Curtis)

Maddox, David (Curtis), tenor and soprano saxophone, clarinet, composition, author; b. Bloomington, IN, 19 March 1960.

He grew up in Bethesda, Maryland.  He got his B.A., Music, at Amherst College, 1982. He studied composition with Lewis Spratlan, 1978-82. He got his A.M. at the University of Chicago, 1984. He got his M.B.A. at Vanderbilt University, 1991. He also studied composition with Peter Tod Lewis at the University of Iowa, 1980.
