Mesch, Wolfgang
Mesch, Wolfgang, saxophonist, composer, teacher; b. Munchen, Germany, 15 August 1954.
In 1975, he went to the Abitur KurtHuber Gymnasium. From 1978-1984, he was at the Kunstakademie Munchen. From 1983-87, he played in the "Tour de Force" free jazz band with Harald Ferner. In 1988, he made a single with Tour de Force. In 1986, he was winner of the Culture-Award from the City of Munich. In 1989, he started the "Jazz don`t panic" electric jazz band with Albert Frische on electric guitar, Nick Hogl on electric bass and Karsten Helmbold handling acoustic and electric percussion, and sampler.
