Neves, Jeff (Marvin Jeffrey)
Jeff took up the guitar at the age of nine in his native Sacramento, California. Early study of piano, violin, voice, and music theory foreshadowed his lifelong interest in music. He performed folk music as a teenager and rocked out with a cover band in his early twenties before discovering new age and jazz. Neves is now concentrating on composing and recording. Jeff has built an enthusiastic following in the Upstate New York/ Northwestern Connecticut area, playing in both folk and jazz venues. He has appeared at the Towne Crier, the Rhinecliff Hotel, Riga Mountain Roast, the Renova Art Gallery, Manna Dew Cafe, and Oblong Books and Music as well as private parties. WKZE and WQQQ radio have both featured him on their jazz programs.
