Sayama, Masahiro

Sayama, Masahiro, piano, b. Amazaki, Hyogo, Japan, 26 November 1953. 

Graduate of National Conservatory composition dept.  Started playing piano at age 6 and became interested in jazz at age 15 after seeing the film The Glenn Miller Story.  In college days performed with Toshiyuki Honda 's Burning Wave.  Later performed with Kosuke Mine, Prism, Shigeharu Mukai, and Mari Nakamoto.  Performs on synthesizer as well, free-form and blues/soul music, and French chanson.
