Seager, Bert

Seager, Bert, piano; b. Pittsfield, MA, 25 January 1955. His parents are Ruth Friedman Seager  (born NY 1929) and Sam Seager (born NY 1929).

Seager has a Masters Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, in Boston, Massachusetts where he has been a prominent player on the jazz scene since 1981.  He's studied with Fred Hersch, Tom McKinley, Hal Galper, and Peter Sprague. He has been a recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts grant for jazz piano and is currently on the New England Foundation for the Arts  Massachusetts touring roster.  He has led tours with his band in Japan, Jordan, Canada and the United States.
