Smith, Christo (Christopher Douglas)
Smith, Christo (Christopher Douglas), trombonist, tubist, arranger and composer; b. New Orleans, LA, 11 June 1968.
Smith was raised in Ann Arbor, MI, the oldest of 12 children, son of Bob Smith (b. 1/5/45), a jazz trombonist. Performs in all styles of jazz and is knowledgable about jazz history (he's an authority on J. J. Johnson). He tours with James Dapogny's Chicago Jazz Band.
