van Geerke, Robin, piano; b. Paramaribo, Suriname, 17 February 1963.

He studied piano / light music at the conservatories in Amsterdam and Hilversum. Jazz harmonies and improvisations are combined with traditional themes and rhythm traditions from Suriname and Africa in his work. Next to performances in different ensembles, he's composing and arranging for various orchestras and bands.

He performed a.o. with Fra Fra Sound (1989-1992, 1999-present), Ronald Snijders (2000-present), and 4-Sure (2000-present).
