This is a great take on some of Duke Ellingtonís early '20s and '30s music. The density of the horns combined with the jutting in and out of the band makes this a true early jazz piece. It sounds nothing like the '20s or '30s, but contains the elements. It also doesnít wear its welcome outóitís only two minutes long.

another great one, I love the brevity of this, a rollercoaster ride, some fast, hot, feverish playing, Muhal can really arrange this stuff! love Cyrille's drumming on this too, its over in 2 mins and you have to play it again
